Our band of heroic (or at least temperamental) magicians have a goal, “Finding the wyrms’ lair,” in chapter 15 of As the Wyrm Tyrns. And wouldn’t you know, it’s the scholarly Calpurnia that sets them in the right direction. Or maybe it’s Ursula who puts them in harm’s way. Or Jacintha who walks into the jaws of death. Or . . . oh, go read the chapter, why don’t you!

I see your point. Now you know why I’m neither a photographer nor artist — I need friends to explain to me what’s distinctive about the art. Diagonals? Clueless . . . until you mentioned them. Ah, now I see! Makes perfect sense!
When I was at college I had an art tutor (but that’s another story) who moaned like crazy cos I was stuck in the sinuous hippy meanders. He wanted diagonals. Diagonals are dynamic. His words have stuck with me. I still play with hippy-meanders, but I do also use diagonals to add oomph!
I shall now look for them in your photographs.
