After three weeks off, I’m beginning a new story, Martha’s Children. It’s another tale of the supernatural. In chapter 1, Chicago cop Ned O’Donnell wakes up, to find himself tied up in a dark room. Martha’s Children is a different type of story from The Dragon Lady of Stockbridge. It’s not in the same fictional universe. It’s not told the same way. In other words, it’s another experiment, just as Dragon Lady was.
For those of you who liked Dragon Lady, I hope Martha’s Children will also be to your taste. If it isn’t, the best I can offer right now is that I’m planning another history story set in the Sillyverse around 1930-34, when the Office of Occult Affairs undergoes a dramatic change. Parts of it have already been written, but I don’t know just yet when I will finish them or where they will appear.

Poor Ned is in for a lot of creepy experiences. The question driving the story is how he’ll cope with them.

Brian, if you’ll continue writing at this pace, I’ll probably never read anything else 🙂 I had some guests from the Land Down Under who laughed their poor hearts out reading Ms. Wedlock’s first paranormal romance… Seriously, I must say that your writing inspires me to read more of this kind of litaerature with which I was not familiar before. To my surprise a lot has been translated into Hebrew. I, of course, being a snob, will never read the translation… but it is interesting to notice it has quite a following even in this remote corner of the Med.
