Chapter eighteen of Magician’s Misfortune

Harry Eberhardt is in the middle of nowhere in Vermont (an easy state to do that in), on the run from his employer, the Federal Government’s Office of Occult Affairs. His only ally is a magician who calls herself Becky, and whose distinguishing feature is a pair of thigh-high leather boots. And he has the mark of a dark power on his hand. So Harry is now “Hunting for a solution to a problem I wouldn’t have if it weren’t for other people,” in chapter 18 of Magician’s Misfortune, my weekly serial about a government agent who finds himself way in over his head in a case of magic. If you’ve not been reading it already, you can start with chapter 1.
